RIU Plaza España Hotel
The Riu Plaza España Hotel, venue of the AECEP Meeting 2026, is located in the iconic Edificio España, one of Madrid’s most iconic skyscrapers. Opened in 1953, this 117-meter-high, 26-story building was, at the time, the tallest building in Spain and one of the most representative examples of postwar urban development.
Throughout its history, it has housed different commercial spaces, residences, and luxury hotels. Following an ambitious restoration, the Riu Hotels & Resorts group reopened the hotel in 2019, restoring its splendor and modernizing it with state-of-the-art infrastructure for events and congresses.
Today, the Riu Plaza España Hotel is a landmark on Madrid’s Gran Vía and one of the city’s leading congress venues, thanks to its spacious facilities, excellent location, and high-quality services.
Plenary hall
Location: Madrid Rooms 1 and 2
Features: Room with natural light, views of Plaza de España, and a six-meter ceiling height, allowing for the installation of large-format screens.
Maximum capacity: Up to 1,500 people
The Plenary Hall will be the main space where the all the sessions will be held. Thanks to its design and technological equipment, it offers an ideal setting for conferences and presentations.
Commercial exhibit, lunches & coffee breaks
Location: Madrid Rooms 3, 4, and 5
Features: Space allocated for the exhibit, adjacent to the Plenary Hall. Coffee breaks and the midday buffet will be served in this area.
The Commercial Exhibit will be a strategic networking point where attendees can interact with companies in the sector and learn about the latest innovations.
